⚠️ Security Notice – June 14th 2025

We recently detected suspicious login activity involving a list of email addresses, some of which belong to Olio users. While there’s no evidence of a breach of Olio’s systems, we took swift precautionary action by resetting the passwords of affected users.

If you've been affected, you’ll be asked to reset your password and may need to re-verify your account. If you’re a Food Waste Hero, rest assured that any penalties have been paused, and your access will be restored once your password is updated.

If you didn’t have to reset your password or re-verify, your account was not involved.

For help resetting your password, check this guide or contact us at hello@olioapp.com. If you have a collection slot today, please include URGENT in your subject line.

🔧 Troubleshooting Tips

If your app is running slowly, freezing, or behaving strangely, try the following steps:


1️⃣ Check you’re using the latest version

  • Go to the App Store or Google Play and search for Olio.
  • You can also check your current version by opening the app, tapping the ☰ menu, and going to Account.


2️⃣ Clear your cache


On iPhone:

  • Open your Settings.
  • Scroll down and tap Olio.
  • Look for Clear cache and toggle it off/on if available.

On Android:

  • Open Settings > Storage > Internal Storage > Cached Data.
  • Tap OK when prompted to clear cached data.

Or, within the Olio app:

  • Tap the ☰ menu in the top right
  • Go to Account
  • Scroll down to ‘Clear cached data’
