Tesco: calling ahead of your collection
Do I need to call my local Tesco/One store ahead of my collection?
No, please do not call the store before your collection. To confirm if there’s any food for you to collect, please check your Squad’s group chat, in the ‘Messages’ section of the Olio app.
Olio’s Little Helper will send a message in your Squad’s group chat, usually between 7.30-8:30pm for evening/next morning collections, or between 1-3pm for collections on Sundays.
There should always be a message to confirm whether to proceed with your collection. If you haven't received one, please assume a collection is not needed and report this to Olio so that we can investigate. Do not set off without receiving the confirmation message as we do not want you to waste a journey.
*This rule does vary business by business so if you're collecting from another store that isn't Tesco, you may need to call ahead (and you won't receive the automated confirmation message in your group chat)! Please check in your squad's description to learn more
