Disappearing or missing messages

Why are certain messages or conversations missing from my inbox?

There are several possible reasons for missing messages:


  1. Archived or Saved for Later: Messages may have been archived. To access archived messages, follow these steps:
    • Go to the Messages section of the app.
    • Tap the 'filter' icon in the top left-hand corner.
    • Tap 'Include archived messages'.
    • Return to your messaging inbox to view all archived messages. To archive a conversation, swipe left on the conversation from within the messages inbox
  2. Multiple Accounts: You might have logged into the wrong account. To switch accounts:
    • Tap the menu icon (โ‰ก).
    • Go to Account and then log out.
    • Log in again with your other account details. (No need to sign up again)

Please note that managing multiple accounts is against Olio's guidelines. If you discover you have accidentally created 2 accounts, please make sure to delete the one you no longer want to use.

  1. Other User Deleted Account: If you cannot find the message, it's possible the other user deleted their account, especially with new accounts. We recommend checking a user's profile before sharing messages.
  2. Item Removed for Non-Compliance: The item might have been removed for not adhering to Olio rules. ๐Ÿšซ
