Olio & SUEZ Recycling Centre Reuse Shop

Olio has partnered with SUEZ to bring an Aladdin’s Cave of bargain items straight to your Olio feed! 🎉

As part of a trial, from Tuesday 27th of May, if you're located in Devon, near the Pinbrook Road or Brunel Road Recycling Centre sites, you’ll now see amazing items listed from the Reuse Shop on Olio.

How does it work?

  1. Open the Olio app and head to the ‘Free: Non-Food’ section – you can find this at the bottom of the home page, or by using the filters in the Explore tab.
  2. If you’re near one of the trial locations, you’ll see items listed from the Reuse Shop
  3. Browse and request items (just like you would any other Olio listing)
  4. Wait for the Reuse Shop to confirm that the item is yours - if you are browsing in the evening, the store will reply to messages the next day
  5. Head to the shop to collect your treasure - you’ll pay in-store when you collect the item!

Detailed instructions are available in the item listing description. Please read these carefully.

How can I recognise a Reuse Shop listing?

Look out for two things:

  • The profile picture of the user will be the Reuse Shop logo, making it easy to spot.
  • The name of the user will match the location of the site – either Pinbrook Road or Brunel Road, depending on where the item is listed from.

This makes it simple to identify items that are part of the Reuse Shop trial in your feed.

Where is this available?

This trial is currently live in Devon, specifically near:

  • Pinbrook Road Recycling Centre, EX4 8HH
  • Brunel Road Recycling Centre, TQ12 4PJ

What kind of items will I see?

Expect a variety of pre-loved household goods, small furniture, kitchenware, toys, books, and more - all rescued from waste and ready for a new home at bargain prices.

Why are SUEZ and Olio doing this?

We’re working together to:

🤗 Give items a second life

♻️ Reduce waste

🏘️ Support sustainable communities

🧡 Make reuse easier and more accessible for everyone
