Food safety - Guidelines for Catering Clients

Cooked food must be kept hot (above 63°C) and shared within 1.5 hrs, or chilled (below 5°C) and shared within 24 hrs for safety.

Are you able to collect cooked food?

Yes. We recruit local volunteers to keep collection and distribution times short. Hot cooked food must stay at or above 63°C until collection — the volunteer can redistribute it hot within 1.5 hours or chill it down. Chilled cooked food must stay at or below 5°C and be redistributed within 24 hours (or before the use-by date).
