๐ General login troubleshooting
If all parts of the app are working, try these steps in order:
Make sure you're logging in and not signing up, signing up with an existing email will show the message "you already have an account under that email."
Make sure your email and password are typed manually rather than copied and pasted, as hidden spaces can cause issues.
Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to make sure you have a strong internet connection.
Reset your password by clicking "Forgot password" on the login screen.
Reinstall the app and try again from step 1.
๐ง Not receiving emails from Olio?
If your email is provided by Hotmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Live.com, or BTInternet, our emails sometimes don't reach your inbox due to security filters.
Here's what you can do:
Check your spam or junk folder.
Add [email protected] to your contacts or safe senders list to make sure our emails get through.
If you've been using Olio for a while, we can update your email address to a different one, just get in touch.
If you're a new user, we can delete your account so you can start fresh with a password instead.
๐ Magic link issues
If your magic link has expired: close the Olio app, then open the magic link directly from your email.
If your browser opens and says "page not found": reinstall the app to reset the default link behaviour.
โ ๏ธ Other error messages
"Email already in use" โ your email is already registered with us. Use the login option rather than sign up.
"Email address is invalid" โ check there are no spaces before or after your email address.
๐ How do I update my password?
If you've forgotten your password or want to change it, tap "Forgot password" on the login screen and follow the steps.
