What if a volunteer does not show up or I have an issue with them?

We have a dedicated team to ensure the reliability and compliance of our volunteers. While we strive to have a volunteer available as often as possible, we acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances may lead to last-minute dropouts or missed collections without prior notice. To address this and maintain consistency in volunteer commitment, we implement a 'strike' system. This means that after multiple occurrences, volunteers may be removed from collections, and their status as a volunteer may be revoked. 

If you encounter a missed collection or have any issues with a volunteer, we kindly request that you report it through our partner issue report form HERE . This allows us to investigate and if necessary, we will replace your assigned volunteer to ensure the collection process runs smoothly.


Do Olio users (end consumers) know the food comes from us?

This is up to you. We normally include your business logo on the listings in the app. This shows app users where the food comes from and also shows them your support to your local community and commitment to the environment. However, if you have any concerns we can remove your logo and keep it anonymous.


What reporting do you provide?

We provide monthly reports showing social and environmental impact metrics such as the weight of food saved, CO2 emissions avoided, amount of water saved and the number of families benefited. Since the food collected is recorded and tracked in the app, we have a large range of metrics that we can provide you with and we are happy to tailor the reports to show you anything you are interested in.
