We understand that for some of our Food Waste Heroes, being able to leave food ready to be collected by a requester is important. However, leaving food unattended for any amount of time is a food safety risk. If you would like to take advantage of no-contact pickups, you must follow these rules to avoid being suspended from the FWH program.
✅ You can leave ambient food in a closed plastic box to be collected by requesters.
✅ You can leave chilled food in a cool box or in a cool bag inside a regular plastic box for up to 30 minutes. This must be followed regardless of outdoor temperature.

❄️ Chilled food that has not been picked up on time must be discarded so please agree with the requesters on a precise pickup time to avoid any food waste.
