Here's what you need to know about collections over the Easter bank holidays. Find your site below and check any changes before heading out 🐣
📩 Post-collection survey reminder: if you receive a post-collection message for a collection that didn't actually happen, please reply to it so you're not incorrectly removed from your slots. We're doing our best to prevent these from sending, but some may slip through! |

Site not listed? Speak to your Squad Captain or contact the site directly 📞
Only attend if food is confirmed at your site (if that’s the usual process)
🛒 Due to the bank holiday, you may find much bigger collections, so please:
Arrive on time
Be prepared for extra volume, bring plenty of bags 🛍️
Coordinate with fellow FWHs in your Squad Chat if you can't take/store everything safely - list extras against a future slot or as ‘personal’

🏢 Catered sites (offices, healthcare, defence) - Collections may be updated on the system. Please check in with your site the days prior to the bank holiday to confirm if your collection will be affected.
🎒 Education sites (schools & universities) - Collections are paused from 30th March to 10th April for half term. We suggest confirming with the school directly, the days prior to the bank holiday.
🎬TV and film sets - If a collections is available in the Volunteer Hub, this means a collection is needed. If in doubt please speak to the production team (contact number shared in the Squad Chat description).
🛒 Supermarkets & other locations:
Business | Collection details |
Asda | Collect as soon as you receive the confirmation message (typically sent around 2pm). The message includes the collection code you'll need to show a store colleague. Collection times are not affected by bank holiday trading hours. |
Boots | Collect 30 minutes before closing time. Bank holiday trading hours are on the Boots website. |
Central England Co-op | Collect 15 minutes before closing time. Check hours on the Central England Co-op website. |
Coco di Mama | Any changes to your collections will be reflected directly on the system. |
Connect Vending | Any changes to your collections have been reflected directly on the system. |
Holland & Barrett | All collections are ad-hoc — Holland & Barrett will send a message into your Squad Chat confirming if food is available. Check the Holland & Barrett website for current trading hours. |
Iceland | Collection times may be affected across the weekend, with most stores closed on Easter Sunday. Your collection will be updated to reflect changes. If unsure, check the Iceland website and always collect 15 mins before closing time (latest 9pm). |
Midcounties Co-op | Collect 30 minutes before closing time. Check hours on the Midcounties Co-op website. |
Sainsbury's | Your collection window will be updated to reflect bank holiday trading hours. For daytime collections — collect within the window on your slot. For evening collections — collect 15 minutes before closing. Check the Sainsbury's website for trading hours. |
Scotmid Co-op | For daytime collections — collect within the window on your slot. For evening collections — collect 30 minutes before closing. Check the Scotmid Co-op website for trading hours. |
Searcys | Any changes to your collections will be reflected directly on the system. |
SSP | Any changes to your collections will be reflected directly on the system. |
Tesco Ireland | Please check the Tesco Ireland website for updated bank holiday trading hours. |
Tesco UK | Please check the Tesco UK website for updated bank holiday trading hours. |
Toby Carvery | No changes over the bank holiday - restaurants are open and collections will be as usual ✅ |
Wasabi | Please check in with the location directly in the days prior to the bank holiday. |
Whole Foods | Collect 30 minutes before closing time. Check hours on the Whole Foods website. |
Zapp | No changes over the bank holiday - all locations are operating and collections will be as usual ✅ |
