Tesco: no food to collect after confirmation message

  • Why was there no food to collect, even if I received a confirmation message?
    • While this should be a rare exception, there are two possible reasons:

1. The Tesco store sold this food to customers after they sent the confirmation message. If this issue recurs, please report it to Olio and we will send a message to the store about estimating better to avoid disappointment.  


2. A new automatic ''donation estimation'' has been loaded onto the Tesco system. This means that staff now have to manually decline the donation if there is no food. Some stores or staff members might now have absorbed this process yet, which may mean that FWHs have a wasted trip. Tesco hope that FWHs can alert the staff about the new ''auto-estimation'' process, and help them remember to decline the donation next time.

๐Ÿ™๐ŸผDo also consider requesting the staff are mindful of the confirmation process - especially if there is only a very small amount of food which is regularly sold by the time you arrive.
