Iceland: what food can I collect? 

Please expect a mixture of chilled, ambient and frozen items from Iceland. 

Staff must never donate alcohol, medicine or any food past its use-by date. If you receive any of these in your collection, please do not list them on the app.

Instead, please report this to us via the Issue Report Form located in the Volunteer Hub so we can relay to Iceland HQ. 

Iceland: how much food will there be?

Different stores have such different factors influencing their sales that in short, it depends! As a Food Waste Hero you should aim to collect all unsold surplus food. Please go prepared with your own bags and collect as much as you can safely carry home.

Iceland: do I need a cool bag for my Iceland collection?

No, cool bags are not mandatory but they are recommended if you have one.
