Iceland: Does all surplus go to Olio?
Iceland's surplus food management consists of a 4 tier system:
1) Staff give-away
2) Charities
3) Olio
4) Animal feed
This means that staff-give away and charities take precedence over Olio, which can sometimes result in Olio collections being a bit smaller than usual. ๐
This tier system is in place so to have as little waste as possible and that it is fairly distributed. ๐๐
