Catered Food Guidelines Training Prize Draw – Terms & Conditions
This prize draw (the ‘Prize Draw’) is run by Olio (company no. 09428660). By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”).
1 Prize Draw Period
1.1 The Prize Draw period runs between 2nd June and 22rd June.
1.2 Ten (10) selected entrants (The “Winners”) will win a £20 or 20€ prize (the “Prize”), which they will receive in the form of cash through bank transfer.
1.3 The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-changeable.
1.4 Winners will receive an email to let them know they have won. This will be sent to their email address affiliated with the account in the Olio app within 3 days of being selected as a Winner. To receive the Prize which will be sent in a second email, Winners must confirm receipt of the first email within 72 hours of being contacted otherwise Olio reserves the right to redraw and a new Winner will be selected.
1.5 Olio reserves the right to temporarily suspend, cancel or vary the Prize Draw at any stage if deemed necessary in its opinion, or due to circumstances beyond its control, and will use reasonable endeavours to minimise the effect on participants to avoid disappointment.
1.6 Descriptions or depictions of the Prize are for illustrative purposes only and the items you receive upon winning may differ.
2 How to enter
2.1 No purchase necessary to enter.
2.2 Entrants must
- Be registered as a Food Waste Hero on the Olio platform an
- Complete the Food Safety - Catering Food during the Prize Draw Period.
2.3 Internet access is required. There is no entry fee for entering into the Prize Draw. By
entering this Prize Draw, you indicate your agreement to be bound by these Terms.
2.2. Completion of the training will automatically enter you into the Prize Draw.
3 Entry Period and Prize Draw date
3.1 Entry to the £20 or €20 Prize Draws will automatically happen when the users complete the Food Safety - Catering Food training module.
3.2 Entries received after 23:59 GMT on 22rd June (The “Closing Date”) will not be included.
3.3 The Prize Draw for ten (10) Winners will take place on 23rd June.
4 Eligibility
4.1 Maximum one (1) entry per person. Use of multiple identities is not permitted. Use of automated entries, votes or other programmes is prohibited and all such entries will be disqualified.
4.2 All entrants must be signed-up Olio users and registered FWHs
4.3 All entrants must be a resident in the UK, Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey or Isle of Man.
4.4 Entrants must be over the age of 18.
4.5 Employees (and their immediate families) of Olio, or affiliated or associated companies, agents or any other person connected with the Prize Draw are not permitted to enter.
4.6 Olio reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants to enter the Prize Draw.
4.7 No responsibility can be accepted for entries which are not properly received due to communications beyond the control of Olio.
4.8 If there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms by an entrant, Olio may, at its sole discretion, invalidate the relevant entry and disqualify the entrant from entry to the Prize Draw. Olio reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Prize Draw.
4.9 Olio reserves the right to moderate entries and reserves the right to remove entries at its discretion that are deemed offensive, obscene or inappropriate.
4.10 All Prize Draw entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
4.11 In accepting and redeeming the Prize, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to redeem the Prize. Olio may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Prize Draw.
4.12 Olio reserves the right to withdraw the Prize at any time without reason.
5 Allocation of Prize
5.1 There is one (1) prize available for ten (10) users:
£20 or 20€ cash, paid via bank transfer or another agreed method.
5.1. Ten (10) Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries using an automated process.
5.3 If a selected Winner does not meet the eligibility criteria set out in these Terms, Olio reserves the right to re-draw and select an alternative Winner.
5.3 The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No alternative prize will be offered.
6 Notification of Prize
6.1 Olio will notify the Winner(s) via an email to the email address that is affiliated with their Olio account. If Olio has not received a response from a Winner within seventy-two (72) hours to confirm that they can accept the Prize, Olio reserves the right to redraw and a new Winner will be selected.
6.2 Olio cannot accept responsibility for any emails that do not reach the intended recipients for any reason whatsoever.
6.3 The decision of Olio is final and no correspondence regarding the Prize allocation will be entered into.
6.4 Olio will not accept: a. responsibility for Competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged, or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or b. proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Competition Promotion.
7 Marketing and Promotion
7.1 You agree that Olio may make your entry available on their website olioapp.com and any other media in connection with any publicity of the Competition.
7.2 You agree to grant Olio a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the Competition entry, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the Competition entry for such purposes.
7.3 This Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok or any other social network.
8 Data protection
8.1 Any personal information collected by Olio in connection with this Prize Draw will be used in accordance with Olio’s Privacy Policy.
