Before Your Collection

Q: Where will I be collecting from? You will be collecting from a vending machine located within a unit or office building. Please check the instructions for your specific store, as details may vary by location.

Q: Do I need to wait for a confirmation before heading to my collection? No. Please head to your collection at the agreed time and do not wait for a confirmation message.

Q: How do I unlock the fridge at the collection point? Some fridges will need to be unlocked, guides on how to unlock the fridges at your collection point are available here.

Please note that there are a handful of locations where you will need to meet someone to give you access to the fridge or to the food directly.


During Your Collection

Q: What items should I collect from the vending machine? Only collect fresh food items from the fridge. Snacks and drinks should not be collected, please leave these in the machine.

Q: Which items should I prioritise taking? Take all items whose Use By date falls between the day of your collection and the following Monday. Do not collect items that do not have a Use By date within this time frame.

Q: Do I need to take a photo during my collection? Yes, this is mandatory. You must take 1 (one) photo showing all the items you have collected and upload it through this survey. This is in addition to your regular listing on the Olio app. Please make sure your items are clearly visible.

Q: How should I name my photo? Please use the following format:

Store name - Collection date Example: Deli Cafe Albany Park Estate - 01.02.2026

Naming your photo correctly is essential so we can match it to the right location. Photos that are not named correctly will need to be re-uploaded.


Listing on the App

Q: How do I list the items I've collected on the Olio app?

Please list as normal.


Problems & Issues

Q: What should I do if there is no food available when I arrive? Please report this using the Issue Report Form as soon as possible.

Q: What if I run into any other problem during my collection? Please report any issues using the Issue Report Form as soon as possible.

Q: What happens if I miss my collection? Connect Vending is a critical partner, so reliability is especially important. Missing a collection without reporting it in advance may result in a warning or removal from your slots. If you know in advance that you cannot attend, please let us know via your squad chat or by skipping your collections
