📲 I'm receiving a 'Something Went Wrong' error when signing up.
If you're receiving an error when signing up, it could be due to you already having an account with us.
Please try logging in with this email; if you need to reset your password, you can do so on the login screen or via this link.
If you're still not able to access Olio, please email us at [email protected], and we can help.
🪄 I've requested a Magic Link or Password Reset, but I'm not receiving it.
If you've requested a password reset or magic link but haven't received the email, please check your spam or junk folder first.
If it's not there, it's possible that your email provider is blocking our messages. Add [email protected] to your contacts or safe senders list to make sure our emails get through.
If you have an alternative email address, we'd be happy to update your details so you can log in using that instead; just let us know.
✉️ I know my email is correct, but it's not allowing me to log in.
If you're trying to log in using a Gmail or Google Mail address, a recent update to our system affected how email addresses with dots (e.g. [email protected]) were handled. We're sorry for the inconvenience if you've encountered this issue. 🙏
If you're struggling to log in using a Google account that has any dots, please remove them from your email and try logging in again.
E.g. If your email is [email protected], try logging in as [email protected].
Once you're able to access your account, you can update your address by heading to the menu (☰) ➡️ Account ➡️ Update 'Email address' field ➡️ Save account.
☎️ I've created an account, but I'm not able to verify my phone number.
If you've created an account but are receiving an error when trying to verify, your number has likely already been used to sign up for Olio.
Please try logging in with any other emails you have.
If you're not able to remember your verified account, please email us the number you're trying to use at [email protected], and we can give you a reminder.
🤝 I'm a charity — I need multiple volunteers to access the same account. How do we share login details?
Charity accounts on Olio have one login per account. If multiple volunteers at your organisation need access, here's how to share it:
Option 1: Magic link
Ask the volunteer to open the app and tap Log in, entering the shared charity email address. A magic link will be sent to that inbox — someone with access to the inbox will need to click it to complete the login.
Option 2: Password login
The main account holder can set a password and share it with other volunteers. To do this:
Log out of the app
On the login screen, tap Forgot password and follow the steps to set a new password
Share the charity email address and password with the other volunteers
When logging in, make sure volunteers tap Login via password rather than the magic link option
