There are several possible reasons for missing messages:
Archived or Saved for Later: Messages may have been archived. To access archived messages, follow these steps:
Go to the Messages section of the app.
Tap the 'filter' icon in the top left-hand corner.
Tap 'Include archived messages'.
Return to your messaging inbox to view all archived messages. To archive a conversation, swipe left on the conversation from within the messages inbox
Multiple Accounts: You might have logged into the wrong account. To switch accounts:
Tap the menu icon (≡).
Go to Account and then log out.
Log in again with your other account details. (No need to sign up again)
Please note that managing multiple accounts is against Olio's guidelines. If you've accidentally created two accounts, you can delete the one you no longer want to use: tap the menu (☰) in the top corner of the screen, go to Account and tap Delete my account. If you have any trouble, contact us and we'll help.
Other user's account deleted or removed: If you can't find a conversation, the other user may have deleted their account, or it may have been removed from Olio. We recommend checking a user's profile before sharing messages.
Item Removed for Non-Compliance: The item might have been removed for not adhering to Olio rules. 🚫
How do I delete a message? 🗑️
Tap the three dots on the message, then choose Delete. You can only delete messages you've sent.
A deleted message is removed for everyone in the chat, so the other person can't see it any more.
👉 If you shared your address with someone and don't want them to have it, delete the message. You can also block them so they can't contact you again.
How do I clear out lots of old messages? 🧹
You can't delete whole conversations. To tidy your inbox, archive them instead:
Go to your messages inbox.
Swipe left on a conversation to archive it.
To see archived chats again, tap the filter icon and choose 'Include archived messages'.
